Prairie will show work by City Heights teens at the upcoming 2016 Fotofocus Biennial Festival of Photography.
Prairie will work with teen residents at City Heights, a subsidized housing community operated by the Housing Authority of Covington to create a body of images for the Fotofocus 2016 Biennial Festival of Photography. Teens will use “smart cameras” allowing them to create and instantaneously upload images to social media sites, responding to visual prompts which help them interpret their daily lives in images. After a significant body of images has been created, participants will select images as starting points for conversation about pertinent social issues and upward mobility.
