New Voices: SCPA and Joseph House, Winter, 2018

Posted on January 31, 2018

SCPA Creative Writing students worked with residents of Joseph House to photograph and reflect on historic and significant sites in Over the Rhine. New Voices celebrated its ninth straight year working with SCPA Creative Writing students.

Students and residents of Joseph House, an organization which assists veterans with recovery from substance dependency, homelessness and related issues, photographed together at Old St. Mary’s Church, Prince of Peace Church, City Hall and from the rooftop of 21C Museum Hotel among other sites during the Spring of 2018. The combined group reflected on the redevelopment of Over-the-Rhine and discussed possibilities for positive and just change within the community. Images and text from their work were used to create a program catalog as well as four collages to be installed at Joseph House.
