New Voices: Lighthouse Community School and St. Paul Village, Winter, 2015

Posted on January 27, 2015

Lighthouse Community School students took on their first New Voices project by partnering with seniors in the assisted living program at St. Paul Village in Madisonville.

Students in the creative writing program at Lighthouse Community School worked with seniors in assisted living at St. Paul to provide them with a creative outlet for their thoughts about the community and life. Students photographed and created short written works in response to the stories they hear from St. Paul partners. A selection of images and writing was compiled into scrapbooks which were presented to St. Paul partners at the conclusion of the program.

Students worked with seniors to learn their stories and about the history of the Madisonville community.

Students created scrapbooks of images they created and stories they were told by their partners.

Students pose with the partners they worked with during the program.
