New Voices Wraps Up Fall Programs With Three Exhibits

Posted January 28 2015

New Voices wraps up its Fall, 2014 programming with three exhibits in January and three permanent installations of work.

Prairie celebrated the Fall, 2014 New Voices programs with Milford High School, SCPA and Mariemont High School with three exhibits of work along with three permanent installations of work at partner organizations.
Milford High School students and their Joseph House partners decided to create a photo mosaic using a group photo made up of several thousand small photo “tiles”. This work will be on permanent display at the Joseph House main reception area at their Republic Street facility (the “landing zone”).

Mariemont High School students worked with their Teen Club partners at the US Bank Boys and Girls Club in Avondale to create a photo-decoupage work that is on permanent display in the main lobby of the US Bank Boys and Girls Club. The images used on the decoupage were all shot by participating Mariemont and Boys and Girls Club students during their trips into the Avondale neighborhood during the fall of 2014.

SCPA students created unique photo collages by creating small scale replicas of building silhouettes based on buildings located around Recovery Hotel. They placed their photographs on top of and behind the door and window openings of these silhouettes, which will be on permanent display at Recovery Hotel.
